A few days ago I made a post about “What Goals I Wished To Achieve For The Month Of July”. With July just around the corner I had to come up with a few ideas as to how I am going to achieve these goals. You have to remember that when you set goals, you have to have some sort of plan or ideas on how you will achieve them.

Today I sat down and came up with just a few ideas on how I am going to achieve these goals. These ideas will probably change but for now they are just meant to give you an idea on what you can do.

Here are 5 goals that I hope to achieve with IronBlogger:

1. Get 50 RSS subscribers
2. Make $500 from this blog
3. Obtain 5000 unique visitors
4. Obtain 10000 unique page views
5. Write a blog post everyday

In order to find out how how I was going to achieve these goals I had to sit down and think about each one separately instead of them all together. When you are trying to figure out your goals, take them one at a time and work up from there.

• Get 50 RSS subscribers - This goal is going to probably be one of the easier goals to achieve. I will still have to work hard at it but it is very much possible to achieve. The first thing I will have to do to get RSS readers is to write interesting content that is going to help my readers. If they like what I write then they will be more likely to come back for more of me. A contest could also work for getting a decent amount of readers in a very short period of time.
• Make $500 from this blog - This will probably be one of the harder goals for me to achieve with Ironblogger. I originally thought that I would make most of my money through private advertising but that option isn’t really quite there yet. I will be able to make some money off of it but I will need something else to help out. Maybe some paid reviews and deals will help contribute towards that. Some further monetizing on the blog and I should be able to handle this goal. Will be interesting to see if I can get this one
• Obtain 5000 unique visitors - There are literally thousands of ways to get get traffic to your blog. The problem with the month of July is that I will probably not receive any Search Engine traffic at all. The reason being is because my blog is brand new and still needs to be indexed in Google and other search engines. For the month of July I will probably have to do a lot of commenting, post frequent, and get as many trace backs to my posts as possible. Even a few Diggs or Stumbles would help me achieve this desired result. I’ll have to find something along those lines to get my readers coming back for more.
• Obtain 10000 unique pageviews - This goal is similar to the one before but I have some interesting ways on how I am going to achieve this. For starters I will have to start linking back to the blog’s older posts more often to encourage more page views. Writing catchy titles and using link bait tactics will also help. If I can average more then 2 page views per visitor then I will be able to achieve this goal, because of this, the focus will be more on getting people to the site then getting them to navigate in it.
• Write a blog post everyday - I am currently averaging about 2 posts per day and if I keep this up I will have plenty of content for the month of July. The main purpose of this goal was to stop myself from slacking off. By posting everyday I stay active on my blog and will increase it’s popularity significantly. I currently run a schedule where I wake up in the morning, post, then post before I go to bed. This way I always have at least one post offered per day.

So there’s just a few points and ideas on how I plan on reaching my goals.

If you have set up any goals of your own make sure that you have an idea on how you are going to get to them. There is nothing worse then setting a goal but having no idea on how you will achieve it.
